Sanctions, embargoes and export controls are trade restrictions that prohibit certain business activities, and the level of restrictions varies by regulations but can include:

  • A region of a country, an entire country, or a group of countries
  • The individuals or entities in or from those countries

These sanctions impact users and earners from the following countries:

  • Iran
  • North Korea
  • Syria
  • Sudan
  • Cuba
  • Crimea and Sevastopol regions
  • Donbas region

Users in the above regions will not be permitted to create new accounts. Additionally, users in the above regions with existing accounts will no longer be able to log in to accept and share badges, or manage accounts settings.
